C.H.A.M.P.S. is an educational program designed for 5th grade students. It stands for choosing healthy activities and methods promoting safety. It is designed to help students make the healthy decisions that come along with daily living. It was designed by the Sheriff’s of Georgia to create a program that is customizable to your area and school system. Not every county is the same. We currently teach 21 lessons. Those lessons are:

• Home Alone & Child Abduction Safety

• ATV Safety

• Prescription Drugs

• Internet Safety

• Hunting/ Firearm Safety

• Marijuana

• Test Cocaine

• Tobacco

• Poster/Essay Steroids

• Peer Pressure

• Graduation


We do several activities throughout the year with the students as well such as bringing the drug dogs into the school to meet the students. At the end of the year the Sheriff’s Office has a field day for the students that have completed the program and also a graduation for those students.
