Sheriff Ray Cross would like to thank each person that attended the 4th Annual Citizen’s Academy. This year’s class was a huge success with 28 citizens attending. The students experienced everything from what officers are taught in the Police Academy to how our Jail operates on a daily basis. The feed-back from the participates was very positive and many stated they had no idea what our officers face every day. Sheriff Cross is looking forward to the next Citizen’s Academy which will be held in 2017. It is a 10 week academy with 3 bonus classes. The classes are every Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please make plans to join us for our 5th Annual DCSO Citizen’s Academy and learn for yourself what law enforcement in Dade County is all about.
