Patrick Cannon
Sheriff |
Sheriff Patrick Cannon was elected Sheriff in 2004 and took office
in January 2005. Patrick started his career in law enforcement
career with Dade County in 1993 as a communications officer.
From communications he progressed through the ranks of the jail
and then joined the road patrol in 1994. Patrick left the
Sheriff’s Office in 1996 to join the Trenton City Police
Department. While at Trenton Police Department he started a lawn
maintence business. Continuing working at the police department
and operating his private business Patrick was also active in his
community of Davis. Patrick felt the call to make a difference
in an area that is true to his heart, his community, and law
enforcement. Patrick decided to make a difference by seeking the
office of Sheriff. He strives to continually
improve the safety of the citizens of Dade County. If you have a

Jackie Womack
Major/ Chief Deputy |
Jackie Womack
serves as the ranking Deputy of the Dade County Sheriffs Office
and is the Chief Operations Officer. He is the appointing
authority and the head of the office in the absence of the
sheriff. He was born in Rome, Georgia and raised in Chattooga
County, Georgia. He served in the United States Army and is a
veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He returned from military service
and has served in law enforcement for the past 14 years. He has
held positions which include Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant

Stan Hartline
Captain - Patrol Division |
Stan Hartline
serves as supervisor for the Patrol Division of the Dade County
Sheriff's Office. He is responsible for the day to day operations
of the Patrol Division, which consists of twenty three Deputy
Sheriff’s. He was born and raised in Dade County. He graduated
from the Tiftonia Christian School in 1984. He then went into the
United States Air Force, where he spent four years in Cheyenne,
WY. He started working at the Dade County Sheriff's Office in
1990 as a Detention Officer. He graduated the Police Academy in
Feb. 1991. He worked at the Sheriff’s Office until 2000 when he
went to work at the Trenton Police Dept. He came back to the
Sheriff’s Office in Jan. 2004. He may be reached at the following

David Duvall
Captain - Jail Division |
David Duvall
serves as the Jail Administrator and is the Division Commander for
all jail operations. He graduated from Northwest Georgia High
School and has an Associate Degree in Business Administration from
Edmondson Junior College. He is an 18 year law enforcement veteran
and a certified senior deputy. He has served in various
supervisory and leadership roles. Any questions you may have

Danny Ellis
Lt. - Special Operations

Danny Ellis
serves as a supervisor for special operations, civil/ warrants
division, and courthouse security. Lt. Ellis was raised in Lookout
Valley and moved to Dade County in 1985. He started with the
Sheriff’s Office in 1999 progressing through the ranks from
detention, road patrol, investigations to special operations. Lt.
