Annual events in Dade County are Georgia events are known for their fun atmosphere, great food, entertainment, shopping and activities. Yearly festivals and events identify our county, reflect its character and opens its doors to the world. There is no shortage of festivals to celebrate the quirks, specialties, history and heritage of our area.
New Salem Mountain Festival
The New Salem Mountain Festival, born out of the potential for a grand celebration of human talents amidst nature's splendor, is the second Saturday and Sunday every October. Autumn is quite evident as you become nestled in all its beauty while walking through the brilliant colored trees and breathing the cool crisp air in a beautiful woodland setting. The festival is a popular seasonal event attended by thousands of visitors each year. Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended.

Approximately 100 talented artists and craftsmen participate. Each participant is carefully screened to assure good quality products. Exhibits will include:

The World's Largest Yard Sale
Trenton joins The World's Longest Yard Sale each August. It's a sale like no other - nearly 700 miles of:

The event starts in Gadsden, Ala., and follows the Lookout Mountain Parkway and U.S. 127 Corridor to Hudson, Mich.

Combined, the Lookout Mountain Parkway and the 127 Corridor have had as many as 5,000 vendors lined along the 675 mile scenic yard sale route in past years and future weekends promise to be even bigger. The sale always starts on the first Thursday in August and continues through Sunday.
The U.S. 11 Antique Alley
Always the four-day weekend (Thursday through Sunday) after Mother's Day in May, the U.S. 11 Antique Alley is a 502-mile festive roadside sale following U.S. Highway 11 from Meridian, Mississippi, through Birmingham, Alabama, through Dade County, to Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee, and on to Bristol, Virginia.
Town Events
The event is be celebrated in each county up and down the U.S. 11 corridor. Each town along the route plans its own events, as festivals, antique sales, flea markets and yard sales, carnivals, etc., and many other activities in conjunction with this popular event
Tennessee Valley & Heart of Dixie
This is an opportunity for folks to do what they like to do best, and that's to get off the interstate highways and take the old roads. Especially on a spring weekend, through the scenic Tennessee Valley and the Heart of Dixie. They can shop for treasures, eat great food, join the festivities, or just enjoy the scenery or the friendly folks.
Antique Alley Association
U.S. Highway 11 is, itself, an antique and serves as a route from the southernmost tip of Louisiana to New York state. The 502 mile "Happenin" is the brain child of Tourism and Chamber of Commerce directors in the corridor who have formed the Antique Alley Association, and who felt confident that the event could conceivable bring some 10,000 visitors, but in fact brought more than 30,000 through their counties during the weekend-long event. Antique dealers, flea market vendors, and yard sale enthusiasts line the route.
